Timecode

Presets contain a snapshot of your effect configuration. 4 built-in presets are available.

When you save parameter configuration to a file on disk, this file can later be loaded to recreate the same effect configuration. Presets generated in one video application can be used by the same plug-in running in a different video application.

A point parameter.

While it is possible to change the X and Y coordinates via the inspector, it is far easier to interact with point parameters directly on-screen:

Font parameter set to Menlo Regular by default. The first popup menu allows you to choose a font family. The second popup menu allows you to choose a typeface among those supported by the font:

Set to 8% by default.

Set to 0 by default. Only values between -100 and 100 are allowed.

Lets you tell the effect whether your project is using drop-frame timecodes.

• Non-drop Frame — Select this option if your timeline uses regular timecodes.
• Drop Frame (NTSC Only) (default) — Select this option if your timeline uses NTSC drop-frame timecodes.

This parameter is only available in Final Cut Pro and Motion, since those video applications do not provide this information to the effect. In Premiere and After Effects the effect can obtain the current timecode format directly from the application.

Off by default.

Lets you provide a single line of text to the effect.

The default text is:

Set to 10% by default.

Set to 5% by default.
