Compatibility

Particle System is compatible with Final Cut Pro, Motion, Premiere and After Effects.

Parameters

Presets

Presets contain a snapshot of your effect configuration. 10 built-in presets are available.

When you save parameter configuration to a file on disk, this file can later be loaded to recreate the same effect configuration. Presets generated in one video application can be used by the same plug-in running in a different video application.

X/Y Position

A point parameter centered in the frame by default.

Initial location in the frame

While it is possible to change the X and Y coordinates via the inspector, it is far easier to interact with point parameters directly on-screen:

Z Position

Set to 0 by default. Only values between -4 and 4 are allowed.

Image

The following options are available:

Use Image Well

Off by default.

Custom Image

Lets you provide additional media to the effect.

When no media has been assigned to this parameter, it default to the following placeholder:

Softness

Set to 20 by default. Only values between 0 and 100 are allowed.

Angle

Set to by default.

Blending

The following options are available:

Color

Set to
by default.

Speed

Set to 1 by default. Only values between 0 and 10 are allowed.

Particle Count

Set to 256 by default. Only values between 0 and 4096 are allowed.

Attraction

Set to 0 by default. Only values between 0 and 5 are allowed.

Gravity

Set to 2 by default. Only values between -20 and 20 are allowed.

Size Change

Set to -0.1 by default. Only values between -1 and 1 are allowed.

Opacity Change

Set to -0.5 by default. Only values between -1 and 0 are allowed.

Min Size

Set to 0.1 by default.

The slider is limited to values between 0 and 1 but you can type values between 0 and 0 by clicking on the current value in the inspector and typing the desired value in. Some video applications also allow you to click and drag the value beyond the range accessible through the slider.

Max Size

Set to 0.15 by default.

The slider is limited to values between 0 and 1 but you can type values between 0 and 0 by clicking on the current value in the inspector and typing the desired value in. Some video applications also allow you to click and drag the value beyond the range accessible through the slider.

Min Velocity X

Set to -1 by default. Only values between -10 and 10 are allowed.

Min Velocity Y

Set to -1 by default. Only values between -10 and 10 are allowed.

Min Velocity Z

Set to -1 by default. Only values between -10 and 10 are allowed.

Max Velocity X

Set to 1 by default. Only values between -10 and 10 are allowed.

Max Velocity Y

Set to 1 by default. Only values between -10 and 10 are allowed.

Max Velocity Z

Set to 1 by default. Only values between -10 and 10 are allowed.
