Frame Overlay

Compatibility

Frame Overlay is compatible with Final Cut Pro, Motion, Premiere and After Effects.

Parameters

Presets

Presets contain a snapshot of your effect configuration. 2 built-in presets are available.

When you save parameter configuration to a file on disk, this file can later be loaded to recreate the same effect configuration. Presets generated in one video application can be used by the same plug-in running in a different video application.

Working with the Presets Menu

Frame Overlay

The following options are available:

  • SD NTSC (720x486) — default
  • DV NTSC (720x480)
  • SD/DV PAL (720x576)
  • HD 720i/p (1280x720)
  • HD 1080i/p (1920x1080)
  • Use Custom Size

Custom Width

Set to 640 by default. Only values between 1 and 10240 are allowed.

Custom Height

Set to 480 by default. Only values between 1 and 10240 are allowed.

Move Left/Right

Set to 0.5 by default. Only values between 0 and 1 are allowed.

Move Up/Down

Set to 0.5 by default. Only values between 0 and 1 are allowed.

In Range Color

Set to
by default.

In Range Opacity

Set to 0 by default. Only values between 0 and 1 are allowed.

Out of Range Color

Set to
black by default.

Out of Range Opacity

Set to 0.5 by default. Only values between 0 and 1 are allowed.

Display Status

Off by default.

Frame Scale Factor

Set to 1 by default.

The slider is limited to values between 0 and 2 but you can type values between 0 and 0 by clicking on the current value in the inspector and typing the desired value in. Some video applications also allow you to click and drag the value beyond the range accessible through the slider.
