Nebula

Procedural generator that draw concentric, cloud-like formations whose geometry and color can be customized and animated over time.

Compatibility

Nebula is compatible with Final Cut Pro, Motion, Premiere, After Effects and DaVinci Resolve.

Parameters

Center

Center of the output.

Size

Controls how wide the gap at the center of the output is.

Speed

Controls how fast geometry and features are animating over time.

Coloring

The following options are available:

  • Two colors (default) — A simpler coloring strategy based on interpolating between two color parameters.
  • Tint mixer — A more complex coloring strategy that involves altering the mix across color channels.

Color 1

The first color used by the output, when Coloring is set to Two colors.

Color 2

The second color used by the output, when Coloring is set to Two colors.

Blending

Controls whether the interpolation between Color 1 and Color 2 happens using standard methods or through a perceptual color space.

Mix (Red/Cyan)

Controls balance across the Red/Cyan channels when Coloring is set to Tint mixer.

Mix (Green/Purple)

Controls balance across the Green/Purple channels when Coloring is set to Tint mixer.

Mix (Blue/Yellow)

Controls balance across the Blue/Yellow channels when Coloring is set to Tint mixer.

Angle

Controls the initial angle of the formation.

Turbulence

Controls simulated turbulence in the structure.

Roughness

Controls how rough the edges of the structure appear.

Brightness

Brightness of the output.

Contrast

Controls color contrast between inner and outer edges of the structure.

Aperture

Distance beween the center of the structure and each concentric layer, up close to the viewer.

Depth

Controls how deep the 3D structure goes. A deeper structure requires longer to render, since more layers are being computed.

Shape

Varies the appearance of the gap at the center of the structure from resembing a circle to resembing a horizontal or vertical horizon.

Horizontal scale of the structure.
