Accurate color reproduction requires plugins to know the color space associated with any media they process. Their output must similarly be produced in the same color space, implying that generators, in addition to filters and transitions, also need to know this information.
While most generators do not process any input media, the host app assumes their output to be in the same color space as the timeline they belong to.
When plugins are running in Apple or Adobe video apps, FxFactory obtains color space information from the host, allowing it to produce the correct output automatically.
Current limitations in DaVinci Resolve prevent our plugins from performing automatic color management. It is important to manually configure each plugin to match its own color space to the one used by the timeline.
You can view the current color space assigned to your timeline by accessing its Settings window:

Whenever an exact match is available, make sure the color space used by the plugin matches the timeline:
Color accuracy depends on plugins knowing how to interpret color information. If the plugin does not offer an exact match for the Timeline color space, select one that most closely matches its gamma curve (if any) or transfer function (HLG or PQ).
