New tutorials for Vignette, Torus Lens, Timecode and TV Static Generators

A whole new batch of video tutorials are ready. They introduce more of our plugins redesigned in FxFactory Pro 6. The tutorials cover their use in Final Cut Pro and Premiere Pro, but the same plugins and features will work identically in Motion and After Effects.

Vignette

The new Vignette integrates Color Correction, Chromatic Aberration and animatable parameters with better masking controls than its predecessor. Face detection allows you to apply the vignette to multiple faces in your video through a dynamic, composite mask.

In Final Cut Pro you'll find it under its own FxFactory Pro 6 Vignette category in the Effects browser:

We made a tutorial for Final Cut Pro users:

In Premiere Pro, it’s found together with other plugins in the FxFactory Pro 6 Color Correction category:

Torus Lens

The redesigned distortion effect unlocks sophisticated new looks through Source and Mask parameters. Watch our introduction for Final Cut Pro:

...or the one for Premiere Pro users:

Timecode Generator

Burn timecodes on your output to match the project’s frame rate or choose from any other common frame rate. Designed for visually appealing and highly customizable timecodes, this plugin supports any font (not just those with fixed-width numerals) without having your output jump or flicker. Here is how it works in Final Cut Pro:

And in Premiere Pro:

TV Static

Drop this generator on your timeline to create as much noise as you want, with as many artifacts and distortions of the analog transmission era as we could fit. Our tutorial covers the use of this generator as an additional element on your timeline, composited with other footage:

The same techniques are also explained for Premiere Pro users:

As a final reminder: if you are looking for an effect that applies static noise to a single video clip, look for the Analog TV effect instead. It combines the same distortion and noise-making abilities of the TV Static generator.
