LUT Browser

Preview multiple Cube LUTs at once just by selecting the enclosing folder.

Compatibility

LUT Browser is compatible with Final Cut Pro, Motion, Premiere Pro and After Effects.

Parameters

LUT Folder

Lets you select a folder containing .cube LUT files.

Layout

The following options are available:

  • 1 — Display just one thumbnail preview per page.
  • 2 by 2 — Display 4 thumbnails per page.
  • 3 by 3 (default) — Display 9 thumbnails per page.
  • 4 by 4 — Display 16 thumbnails per page.
  • 5 by 5 — Display 25 thumbnails per page.

Page

Allows you to navigate between each grid of previews. Each page contains a number of thumbnails determined by the the Layout parameter. When viewing a 5x5 grid, you can browse up to 2500 Cube LUTs between pages 1 and 100.

Display

The following options are available:

  • Off — Display only image previews.
  • Filename (default) — Display each LUT’s filename as it appears in the Finder.
  • Title — Display the title assigned to the LUT as stored inside the .cube file.

Color Space

LUTs (.cube files) do not contain any information on the color space used to generate the lookup table. In most cases, LUTs are filled with values in the sRGB or ITUR 709 color spaces.

If you know how the data in the look-up table was generated, you can select the appropriate color space to guarantee an accurate mapping of color information.

The following options are available:

  • Match media — Applies LUTs as if the RGB values in each file were created in the same color space as the underlying clip. Unlike other options in this menu, this implies that no color space conversion is needed or performed in applying each LUT.
