New in FxFactory Pro 6.0.1
Trackable PiP
Trackable PiP makes it easy to create 4-way picture-in-picture overlays. Each overlay gets its own independent controls for appearance and animation. The original clip can be set to fade out, and the plugin benefits from the same Build In/Out controls you have come to enjoy in other FxFactory Pro plugins. As the name implies, it allows for automatic tracking of the regions of your clip that are turned into overlays.
LUT Browser
Preview hundreds of LUTs applied to the footage sitting on your timeline. It’s as easy as applying LUT Browser and selecting a folder containing CUBE LUTs. Up to 25 live thumbnails can be previewed at once. We made a tutorial for Final Cut Pro:
...and a second tutorial for Premiere Pro users:
Glow + Titles
The Glow filter gets new presets for titles and just about any media with an alpha channel:
The new looks are possible due to the Composite Glow parameter, which gives you fundamental control over how the effect is combined with the original media:
Setting Composite Glow to Behind Source or Minus Source in combination with certain blend modes unlocks a wide range of new looks. The results are most obvious with titles:
Star Shape
A simple way to render a star with customizable colors and proportions. Many of the parameters can be animated automatically, as demonstrated by the built-in presets:
Halftones
Our first release of Halftones introduced some rather cool ink mixers:
...except that we made a mistake in how they controlled the output. The mistake has been fixed, and we've added a few new presets to atone:
It is now possible to control output levels on all four inks. We blame our intern for any ink mixing problems you experienced*.
* We don't have any interns.
What next?
